So I've been trying to do things the normal way in (k)ubuntu and have been
typing sudo every time I want to do something with root privileges...
normally I find this only mildly annoying. But it's really been bugging me
lately... so while searching for something else I found out an easy way you
can stay "root" "sudo -s -H" at a console and that console will become root.
So since I always have a konsole (kde's version) open on the desktop I went to
settings -> session tab -> root shell and changed ""execute" to be "sudo -s
-H" now my "root session).
Now it works just like it used too in gentoo/redhat/suse/slackware ... you
know the rest of the bloody world (sans windows).
