ssh you need to acess your slug but can be replaced by telnet so 
install telnet then remove ssh, telnet take less resources.
klogd and syslogd can be disabled, and samba to if you dont use it.

I must warn you [Im no expert] but I have run my slug with thoose 
removed long time ...still up=).
and I think Openlsug is better for mldonkey becuse it uses less mem.
