There are two steps, right?--one that you referenced, in the QFILESVR.400
directory, plus you have to make a symbolic link for '/usr/sap/trans' that
points to "/QFileSvr.400/<host>/sapmnt/trans", I believe.
When you're drilling down, are you doing it through QFILESVR or /usr/sap/trans?
By the way, if you're doing it to a different partition, you can use the
"backdoor" or "backplane" or "virtual" ethernet connections.

I am trying to create a symbolic link from one server to another under the
QFILESVR.400 dirctory. Each are located on a separate LPAR however, after
createing the link and trying to display the TRANS/COFILES directory it is
pointing at the local server and not the remote server. Can anyone help with
this? the process used to create the symbolic link is MKDIR
'/QFILESVR.400/<HOSTNAME>'. Any assistance will be greately appreciated.
