I think that it may be the case that European companies sometimes use
different job titles and I'm not certain that "web analytics"
necessarily is the most used name for it outside of the UK.
Other than that I think that we're just not as good at selling/marketing
our work over here. That doesn't mean that there aren't jobs or advanced
businesses and users.
I have addressed this issue in a podcast with European web analytics
experts. It has been produced (and will hopefully be a series) but not
uploaded yet.
