I just thought of something. There are lawsuits against Microsoft (several)
that charge Microsoft with stealing technology from smaller companies (the
plaintiffs), but nobody is saying that the companies that filed the lawsuits
will own Microsoft's software (that which benefitted from the alleged theft)
if Microsoft loses the lawsuits. I don't understand why it would be any
different with GPL software.
