Seems that the fourth thursday of the month has become
a trditional time to meet. Well next thursday is that
day. At the last meeting Jaye asked me if I could help
with MC'ing the meeting. I said I would do what I
could, so here goes:
THURSDAY, OCTOBER 28 LUG MEETING AT THE WATER BOARD
OFFICE BY 7TH AND J STREET IN EUREKA (I think that's
the right address)
!. Andrew wants to discuss the server and web site so
I told him that we can do that right after
introductions.
2. I'm on the sponsers commitee of the HSU Computing
Science Club and would like to take the next time slot
to discuss joint support of our activities,
particularly the High school level programming contest
that the club puts on every year and their efforts to
bring interesting speakers into the area.
3. The next (and last) time slot can be focused on
wi-fi solutions. It seems that this is what everybody
is interested in or having problems with. Therefore
I think it would be productive to join heads about
what works and what don't and how to get what don't,
to work. It might be a little ambitious but if we
could write this into a list of these solutions and
what works and what don't, this would be a very useful
to be able to refer to.
Jaye I can't be there till 6PM so I hope you can still
reserve and secure the room.
