Hi Jaye,
At work and Home I clean the laptop's optic gently with a q-tip just look
for the optic thingy in the bottom of the cd tray.

Just catching back up to my laptop question. . .
John gave me a 128MB sodimm. Thanks again John! However, I opened the
tiny
little door and found that there is only ONE slot for memory. . . Uh...
It
already had a 128 in it, plus a bolted on 64MB on mainboard. So, I can
update it to a max of 320mb if I install a 256 sodimm. it takes either
pc100
or pc133.
I wired another guy that does laptop repair regarding the cdrom drive.
would
be really neat if I could get a cdrw replacement, but I don't even know if
I
can get a basic cdrom drive at this point.
Speaking of cdrom drives. I remember seeing a cdrom cleaner on the market
once upon a time--it would actually clean the optics with a felt wiper
thing.
That might be a really good idea, I can't image how much dust must be on
that
little lens by now. Anyone know where a person can get one of those
cleaners
these days?
This is kind of fun!
have a great weekend everybody!
