susceptibility. If you want to get paranoid, try applying an
epigenetic overlay. Sins of the father and all that. Just because an
effect is not measureable in the subject, doesn't mean it won't show
up in the grandkids. Scary. Even if we feel we can be cavalier about
our own health, we need to consider multi-generational consequences.

I think we need to all step back for a moment and remember where this
question came from. Tim's clients tend to be non-techies, some
severely so. It's very likely that the parent heard that monitors
emit radiation, but doesn't know the difference between CRTs and LCDs.
Simply explaining the difference between the two types should be
enough to calm the parent's fears. The rest of the stuff about
psuedo-science, while a genuine concern, is probably not the issue
here.
